Congratulations to Emily and Lisa! {Philadelphia Wedding Photography}

Back in September I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa and Emily’s wedding at Bartram’s Garden in Philadelphia. They came back to Philadelphia from Lakewood, OH to tie the knot. It was a beautiful morning, a beautiful late afternoon ceremony, and a beautiful reception not hindered in the least by a bit of torrential rain.

I actually first encountered Emily and Lisa at Ben and Pam’s wedding, although I didn’t get a chance to speak with them that night. So it was a great happiness to find out that, not only would Ben and Pam be attending, they would be officiating! Which was great. Ben and Pam actually officiated their own wedding, and here they were helping Emily and Lisa celebrate.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding to day photograph is the bridal preparations. There is so much excitement, so much anticipation, so much transformation. What better, then, than to get to photograph two brides getting ready? Fantastic. Emily and Lisa both are funny, warm and friendly people (at least as far as I know them), and their friends and family were certainly an extension of that. Just a great group of people to be with all day.

Mind if I get political for a second? Legalize same-sex marriage.
