It’s not about the shoes.

Sometimes it’s not a matter of what you shoot, but what you imply. They know what they look like, and they know why they’re standing on the edge of a fountain. Knowing that allows a photographer to get a bit more creative about what is shot.

You can;t see them, but off to camera right, there was a group of people  doing some sort of gruesome workout in which they had to run around the park a few times and then do this thing where they squatted down to touch the ground, then stand up and jump, over and over. I think we had more fun.
